About This Organization
Draw For A Cause was first envisioned in August 2021 as a platform for young artists to help raise funds for charities.
Draw For A Cause is dedicated towards supporting social movements while also encouraging young artists to value their time and work. Too often, artists have been expected to draw for “exposure”. This practice is used against digital artists who are often tricked into this tactic which results in zero pay. That’s why 15% of all commissions go to the artists themselves. Their hard work isn’t free!

Alyelle (Founder)

Alyelle is the founder of the Draw For A Cause organization, and the designer and artist for Sumie, the organization’s pink-haired mascot. She enjoys clothes shopping, drinking boba (a little too much), hanging out with friends, and playing video games.

Mengdevi (Leo) is a professional comic + POP artist based in Vancouver. They work as a freelance comic colorist and thumbnail artist at local publishers. In their free time, Leo enjoys playing saxophone at small gigs. Currently Leo is working on adapting their collection for public consumption.
